1 Review for MV Public Transportation

as posted on Yelp by Dana A. of Seattle

Thinking of WORKING for MV Transportation?  Then please read this before doing so!  Access Transportation Riders Also Beware!

I had the experience of working for MV Public Transportion who had a multi year contract from 2001 - 2008 with King County Metro Accessible Services in Seattle, Washington.  Needless to say it was an eye opening experience.

MV Transportation,  makes some interesting CLAIMS via numerous publications specifically CITYFLIGHT NEWSMAGAZINE Oct 2005 Cover Story: "First Things First".  This highlights MV and their corporate philosophy regarding Customer Service and Treatment of their Employees.

The CEO Jon Monson and owner Feysan Lodde both are quoted on page 23 as saying,....."a key to MV Transportation's success is a Belief in our people, a belief that is firm and unshakeable.  We have to treat our employees like our family.  Treating our employees like family leads to a higher level of customer satisfaction."  (How they pull that off is truly a mystery!  And what does that LOOK like?)

That may be true anywhere else But in Seattle.  MV Transportation should do themselves a Favor and discontinue the employment of General Manager Scott Schell and keep him away from all locations. He has the "Reverse Midas Touch"  and will be bad for any location that he ends up at!   Please think of the impact it will have on your "FAMILY"!

The "Owners and Jon Monson" didn't want to hear about their "Problem Child" Mr. Schell years ago, as they didn't want to interfere with a Managers operation.  You guys weren't listening to your "Family" that  you stated that you BELIEVE IN so much!

Well too little too late.  MV Transportation lost the opportunity to be awarded a NEW 2008 Service Contract in Seattle, Washington.  Now they'll have lots of time to reflect on what might have gone wrong.
They weren't  Listening or Paying attention to their "Family"!

How about the WRONG man for the job, especially one with ice water in his veins and a distain for his employees?  When it comes to treating his employees like his family, one can only conclude that his "family of origin" must be totally DYSFUNCTIONAL and take pity on his wife and children.

Moral of the story / review:  MV Transportation Corporate Owners and Leaders need to get back to the Basics and Start LISTENING to their employees, oops...."FAMILY".  When they say WE HAVE A PROBLEM here in Seattle or ELSEWHERE, then Wake Up, Sit Up and take it SERIOUSLY!   "Can You HEAR US Now?"

How much did the loss of the Seattle Contract set your Bottom Line back?  Does the Loss of revenue get your attention now? How many MORE contracts will you lose due to the poor treatment of your "EMPLOYEES" and ultimately the "Disabled" passengers in those communities.  Words are CHEAP!  It's your ACTIONS that will be forever remembered.

MV Transportation, Shame On You!  You could have done better but you Weren't LISTENING!
